Gerard Gerry A. Boucher, 72, of Manchester, died May 4, 2010 at the Elliot Hospital. He was born in Manchester on July 31, 1937, the son of Denis J. and Rose (Gregoire) Boucher and had been a lifelong resident of the city. He attended local schools. He was employed by the VA Medical Center for 42 years, where he also did volunteer work after his retirement. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 92, the Elks Club, the Kinnicum Fish and Game Club, the League of One Thousand Men of Precious Blood Monastery and the NRA. He was an avid fan of the Manchester Monarchs, the Fisher Cats and the New England Patriots. In His Life: Family members include his brother, Maurice Boucher and his wife Jeannine of Manchester; one nephew and two nieces, and several cousins. Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street on Friday from 5 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 PM in St. Pius X Church. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
