Gerard R. Drapeau, 69, of 227 Alexander Drive, Manchester, NH died March 9, 2002, at the Elliot Hospital. He was born in Berlin, NH on May 16, 1932, the son of Romeo and Florence (Valliere) Drapeau and had been a resident of Mancheter for the past 33 years. Gerard was the meat supervisor for the First National Grocery Stores with 32 years of service. He later worked 13 years for Super Value, Inc. Mr. Drapeau was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a member of the American Legion Sweeney Post # 2 and belonged to the National Rifle Association. Family members include his wife of 48 years Yvette (Leclerc) Drapeau of Manchester, a son Denis M. and his wife Marsha Drapeau of Barrington, NH, a daughter, Elaine D. Drapeau of Alexandria, Virginia, two brothers, Maurice Drapeau of Georgia and Roland Drapeau of Belin, NH, several nieces, nephews and cousins. SERVICES: Relatives and friends are welcomed to a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday morning at 10 o'clock in St. Pius X Church. Inurnment will be on Monday morning at 11 o'c'clock in NH State Veteran Cemetery Columbarium, Boscawen, NH. Donations may be made to Feed the Children, P.O. Box 8, Oklahoma City, OK 73101-0008.
