Gerard F. Martineau, 76, of Manchester, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2022 surrounded by his family. He is the beloved husband of Carmel (Janelle) Martineau with whom he shared 55 years of marriage.
Gerard was born on September 9, 1946 in Lowell, Massachusetts. He was proud to serve 6 years in the Marine Corps Reserves and was also a foreman for Moore Business Forms, from where he eventually retired.
Gerard was a loving family man and an adored prankster to his children and grandchildren. He was famous in his family for his “raspberries” and was always laughing or making others laugh. He took so much pride in his lawn and enjoyed fishing or kayaking in his spare time. His favorite treat, a staple in his every-day life, was a Boston Crème donut and a large iced coffee from Dunkin’ Donuts.
Along with his wife Carmel, Gerard is survived by his daughters, Michelle Lunderville and her husband Rodney of Goffstown, and Krista Martineau and her fiancé Teddy Willette of Haverhill, MA; grandchildren, Ryan J. Lunderville and his partner Rachelle McKeown, and Alex Lunderville and his fiancé Molly Sargent; siblings, Lillian Morrow, and Anita French; his cherished dog Vinny and grandpets Cooper, Austin, Leah, Towser, Bullet, Dexter, and Pebbles.
He is predeceased by his foster parents Mr. and Mrs. Cote, and brother Andy Martineau.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, November 7th from 4pm-6pm at The Phaneuf Funeral Home & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester. A funeral service will follow at 6pm in the funeral home. Interment on Tuesday, November 8th at 10am at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Manchester. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend.
