Gerard R.J. Fauvel

Gerard Robert Joseph Fauvel, 69, of Salem NH passed away unexpectedly on October 24, 2018. He was born in Amesbury, MA on January 24, 1949 the son of the late Andre and Jeannette (Lacourse) Fauvel.

Gerard was proud to have served his country in the United States Army from Dec 1969 to May 1971 achieving the rank of SP5. He later received a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and worked for Sanders Associates in Nashua for over 25 years, the Lawrence School System in Lawrence, MA and recently retired from the State of New Hampshire. He was a proud member of the American Legion Post 63 in Salem NH.

Gerard is survived by his daughter Kimberly Dwelley and her husband Scott of Hudson, NH, his son Keith and his wife Kristine of Londonderry, NH, and his loving partner for over 22 years, Ruth Hayes of Salem, NH. He is also survived by his brothers Andre and Roland and a sister Therese (Fauvel) Coughlin.

His greatest enjoyment was spending time with family. He adored his grandchildren, Maddisen and Marissa Dwelley and Connor and Quinn Fauvel especially attending all of their activities. He will truly be missed by his family, which also included many nieces and nephews.
His extended family also included Carl DeRubeis, his wife Tracy and their children Zachary, Seth and Avery. Patti Wiggins and her husband Dennis and their children Abigail, Jack and Grace for which he spent many enjoyable times with.

Calling hours will be held in celebration of Gerard's life on Monday, October 29th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes, 243 Hanover St., Manchester NH. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, October 30th at 10:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, 25 Library St., Hudson NH. A private cemetery committal will be held at the NH State Veteran's Cemetery in Boscawen, NH with immediate family later that day.
