Gerard "Jerry" Jankauskas, 61, of Weare, died at his home on January 14, 2003. He ws born in Carbondale, PA. On January 18, 1941, the son of the late Frank and Anne (Trunbetas) Jankauskas and had been a resident of Weare. He was a Marine Veteran serving during the Korean and Viet Nam Conflicts. He belonged to the NH Veteran Association, the Disabled American Veterans, the American Legion and past District 5 Commander Post 112 Elwood Wells and was past Grande Chef of the 40 & 8. Jerry was a former policeman for the town of Epsom, NH and Newark, NJ Family members include his wife of 19 years, Marion (Durante) Jankauskas of Weare, five sons, Gerard J. Jankauskas of Bellingham, Ma., James Jankauskas of E. Concord, NH, Joseph Jankauskas of S. Ridge, Ma., Sonny McMahon, Tony Ramos, both of Manchester, four daughters, Tereesa Booker of Loudon, NH, Felicia McMahon, Christine McMahon, both of Manchester and Natasha Ramos Driesse of New Boston, NH, 13 grandchildren, a sister Barbara Altobelli of New Jersey, one nephew. SERVICES: Relatives and friends may call at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Thursday evening from 5 to 8 o'clock. The funeral service will be at 11 AM on Friday in the NH State Veteran Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.
