Gerard Provencher

Gerard “Chic” Provencher Mr. Gerard R. “Chic” Provencher, 82, of Manchester, NH died October 26, 2006 at the Catholic Medical Center in Manchester following a brief illness. Born on June 19, 1924 in Manchester, NH the son of the late Arthur and Rachel (Lalibertie) Provencher. He was educated in the Manchester school system. Mr. Provencher was a lifelong resident of Manchester. For over 50 years he worked for Stebbins Construction/ Pro Con. He was a site supervisor. He was an active member of the Laborers International Union of North American, #668, for 60 years. He was an avid cribbage player and a sports fan. Mr. Provencher also liked walking his dog Asia. Surviving family members include his wife of 38 years, Colette (Cote) Provencher of Manchester; his son, Martin Provencher of Manchester; two sisters, Rachel Lavallee of Hooksett and Cecile Sevigny of Manchester and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling Hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 250 Coolidge Ave, Manchester, on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Jean the Baptiste Church on Monday at 10:00AM. Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Manchester.
