Gertrude Irene Gamache

Gertrude Irene Gamache, 81, of Goffstown, NH, passed away at home on April 17, 2024. Born in Goffstown on November 25, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Stella (Ferland) Chandonnais. She shared nearly 64 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Reynald Gamache.

Gert was raised in Manchester and attended the Wilson School. Together with Butch, she raised four cherished sons: Antonio, Andre, Raymond, and Ronald. When her children were grown, Gert worked for RCL Electronics, Wee Play School, and as a private nanny.  Above all, her heart belonged to her family. She treasured every moment spent in their company, especially the joy of hosting holiday gatherings, with Christmas being her favorite. Over the years, Gert and Butch made many fond memories going on cruises. She always looked forward to the warm weather when she could enjoy trips to the beach, going camping, and tending to her beautiful flower garden.

Gertrude is survived by her husband, Reynald Gamache of Goffstown; her sons, Antonio Gamache and his wife Irene of Weare, Andre Gamache and his wife Nancy of Goffstown, Raymond Gamache and his wife Doris of Goffstown, and Ronald Gamache and his wife Holley of Weare; her sisters, Pauline German of Littleton and Lucille Sarette and her husband Robert of Manchester; her grandchildren, Amber, Craig, Amy, Nick, Adam, Alex, and Rachell; her great-grandchildren, Morgan, Zach and Silas; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Tuesday, April 23 from 4PM-7PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 24 at 10AM at St. Lawrence Church, 1 E Union Street, Goffstown, NH. She will be laid to rest at the Mount Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Road, Manchester, NH.
