She was born on May 18, 1919 in Lawrence, MA the daughter of the late Fred and Mary (Lawton) Carter. Gladys was raised and educated in Methuen, graduating from Methuen High School.
She was a member of the Marsh Corner Church in Methuen for many years.
Gladys was predeceased by her husband, Claude A. Brown and her sister, Grace Copetta.
Family members include her son, Russell Brown of Salem, NH; daughter, Claudia Sullivan of Afton, VA; grandchildren and great grandchildren.
