GLENN E. NELSON, SR.

LITTLETON, NH  Glenn E. Nelson, Sr., age 95, passed away on September 14, 2005 at the Veterans Hospital in White River Jct., VT.

Glenn was born on June 16, 1910, a son to Carl Nelson, Sr. and Stella (Huntoon) Nelson in Lisbon, NH. He attended area schools and was a graduate of Dow Academy.

Glenn served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was married to Lorraine (Archibald) Nelson in 1939. He was a member of the American Legion Post #3 in Nashua. He was a truck driver for Brown and Churchill and was employed for many years by the Town of Franconia, NH. Glenn was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Surviving family members include one son, Glenn E. Bucky Nelson, Jr. of Littleton, NH; three daughters, Glenda Shepard of Dalton, NH, Dorothy Bouton of Middlebury, VT, and Janice Stone of Bethlehem, NH; twelve grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. His wife, one daughter, one sister, and six brothers predeceased him.

SERVICES  The family will receive friends on Monday, September 19th from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Pillsbury Funeral Home, 101 Union Street, Littleton, NH. Funeral services will follow at the Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Lyn Winter officiating. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery in Franconia, NH.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the North Country Home Health and Hospice Agency, 536 Cottage Street, Littleton, NH 03561.
