Gloria Jean Morin (Smith), 82, passed away on August 11, 2025, at her home in Lincoln, NH. She was born on November 2, 1942, to parents William and Eleanor Smith.
Gloria was a beloved and devoted member of the Lincoln, NH community. She spent much of her career working in various customer service roles at local landmarks including Clark’s Trading Post, Whale’s Tale Waterpark, and Loon Mountain, where her warm smile and kind demeanor touched countless visitors. Known for her tireless work ethic and welcoming personality, she built lasting friendships with coworkers and guests alike.
Her dedication to service extended far beyond her professional life. She was a proud lifetime member of the American Legion Joseph Newton Smith Post #83 in Lincoln, NH, where she also served on the auxiliary. Gloria was the American Legion Auxiliary Department of New Hampshire president in 2024. She worked tirelessly to support veterans and their families. Faith was also central to her life as she was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she volunteered generously, lending her time, talents, and compassion to parish events and charitable causes.
She is predeceased by her daughter, Darlene Anne Pitcher, two of her sisters and three of her brothers.
Gloria is survived by her daughter, Kim Marie Canfield and her husband, Robert Canfield; son, Scott Andrew Morin and his wife, Diane Morin, her sister, Anne Lamson, 7 grandchildren and 19 great- grandchildren.
Her absence will be deeply felt by her family, friends, and neighbors, but her memory will continue to inspire all who strive to make their mark on their community.
A funeral service will be held at the St. Joseph Church in Lincoln, NH on Friday, September 5th beginning at 11AM. Burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery in Lincoln, NH.
