Gordon G. Bernard, 84, of Manchester, NH, died at home December 21, 2005. He was born in Whitefield, NH on October 5, 1921, the son of the late Eugene James and Mildred (Hartshorn) Bernard and has been a resident of Manchester. He was a US Navy Veteran and was a member of the NH League of Craftsman. Gordon enjoyed making things with wood. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Family members include his wife of 61 years, Florence (Fifield) Bernard of Manchester, four sons; Paul Bernard of Michigan, Thomas Bernard of Oceanside, California, John Bernard of Manchester, NH and Stephen Bernard of Boscawen, NH, three daughters; Judith Hobson of New York, Diane Soutar of Beaufort, North Carolina and Sandra Bernard of New York, 18 grandchildren, five great grandchildren, his predeceased son, Gordon J. Bernard who died in 1960, four sisters; Bernadette Labonte of Florida, Pauline Richey of Littleton, NH, Anne Bronson of Groveton, NH and Mary Weeks of Winchester, NH., many nieces, nephews and cousins. SERVICES: There will be no calling hours. Relatives and friends may attend a Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Bernard on Saturday morning at 9 OClock in Sacred Heart Church.
