Gordon T. Searles

Gordon T. Searles, 68, of Manchester, NH died on Sunday, July 28, 2024 at the Catholic Medical Center, in Manchester, NH. 

Mr. Searles was born on August 11, 1955, in Manchester, NH, the son of the late Gordon H. and Norma J. (Newton) Searles. He was a lifelong resident of Manchester, NH. He was a veteran and served in the United States Army.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the Youth Development Center where he worked as a youth counselor. 

He was a longtime member and past president of the Alpine Club. Mr. Searles also belonged to the American Legion, Jutras Post 43, in Manchester and the New Port Richey Elks Lodge, # 2284.

Members of his family include; his life partner of 22 years, Susan Clement, Susan’s sons, Paul Clement and Joseph Fredette, who he helped raise, three brothers, Ernest and his wife “Cecile” Searles, Stephen R. Searles, Rick Searles, two sisters, Susan Graffam and her husband “Ernie”, Barbara Vaillancourt and her husband, “Don”, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. 

SERVICES: A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, from 3 – 7 p.m. at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, in Manchester. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, in Boscawen, NH. 

It has been suggested that those who wish may make memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association, in memory of Mr. Searles.
