Gordon E. Trefrey

Gordon E. Trefrey, Jr., 64, of Manchester, passed away at Catholic Medical Center on March 16, 2012.
He was born in North Conway on December 6, 1947, the son of Gordon and Janet (Smith) Trefrey, Sr., and had been a resident of the VA Community Living Center in Manchester the past several years. He was a United States Vietnam Army Veteran. Earlier in his career he had worked as a machinist for Aavid Engineering. He enjoyed fishing and playing cribbage.

Family members include two sons, Gordon Trefrey III and his wife Tammy of Meredith, and Lawrence Trefrey of Laconia; three daughters, Carol Daniels and her husband Glenn of Contoocook, Cheryl Sweeney and her husband James of Milford, MA, and Tina Fussell and her husband Ronald Jr., of Manchester; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Gerald Trefrey and his wife Cynthia of Meredith, and Gilman Trefrey of Welles, ME; and nephews, nieces and cousins. Gordon was predeceased by his brother Guy Trefrey formerly of  Gilford NH.

A cemetery committal service with military honors will take place at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, on Tuesday March 20 at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Laconia VFW, Post 1670, 143 Court St., Laconia, NH 03246. Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium is in charge of arrangements.
