Grace J. (Bibeault) Levandowski, 85, of Manchester, died September 11, 2010 at her home surrounded by her family, following a long illness.
She was born in Lowell, MA on December 12, 1924, the daughter of Alphonse and Annie Bibeault and moved to Derry where she grew up. She graduated from Pinkerton Academy in 1943 and was an all-star athlete. She was captain of the varsity basketball team, played field hockey and was also on the cheerleading squad. She moved to Manchester after her getting married in 1946, where she raised her six children. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, gardening and sports. She has a great love for animals. She had a strong faith and was a devoted member of Blessed Sacrament Church.
In Her Life: Family members include her husband of 64 years, John Levandowski; five children, John Levandowski of Manchester, Larry Levandowski and his wife Wendy of Bedford, Linda Doucette of Candia, Matt Levandowski of Manchester, and Tim Levandowski and his wife Bobbie of Newport, RI; eight grandchildren; a daughter in law, Shannon Levandowski; and nephews, nieces and cousins. She was predeceased by a son, Tom Levandowski in 2007 and by a son in law, Charlie Doucette in 1997.
A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday morning at 10:00 AM in Blessed Sacrament Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Blessed Sacrament Church, 15 Elm Street, Manchester, NH 03103. Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium is in charge of arrangements.
