Gregg Alan Ziemba
Gregg Alan Ziemba, 42, of Manchester, died on July 26, 2012 at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA after a period of declining health.
He was born in Manchester on February 2, 1970 to Stanley G. and Beverly A. (Mendzela) Ziemba. He attended Manchester schools and graduated from Memorial High School, Class of 1988. Gregg attended Plymouth State University and was a founding father and the originating secretary of Sigma Phi Epsilon. He also served as Student Senator, Speaker of the Senate, Off-Campus Representative and he was a member of the University System Student Board. He was listed in the 1994 edition of Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.
He worked for many years with his father and mother in the family businesses, serving as Vice President of B.A. Roy Steel Erectors and Empire Sheet Metal Inc. of Manchester. Gregg was a devoted son, brother, uncle and friend. His zest of life and devotion to his family and friends especially his nephew and nieces will never be forgotten. His strength and perseverance during his illness were an inspiration to all who knew and loved him. He found great joy in caring for his beloved cat and very best friend Mayhem.
He is survived by his father of Manchester, a sister Jennifer A. McLean and her husband Robert T. McLean of Gilford; a nephew, Jack Stanley McLean and two nieces, Molly Elizabeth McLean and Arianna Cole McLean, all of Gilford. In addition he leaves his paternal grandmother, Irene (Emery) Ziemba and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his mother, his sister, Donia M. Ziemba, his grandparents Stanley and Ruth (Gordon) Ziemba, William Mendzela and Harry and Jennie Seitz.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 3rd at 10 a.m. in St. Pius X Church, 575 Candia Road, Manchester. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Bedford. In lieu of flowers please send donations to The Humane Society of the United States, 2100 L Street, NW, Washington, DC 20037 or the charity of your choice.
