Harold “Pip” Adams would like to let you know that his work here is done. On December 3rd 2025 he got an offer he couldn’t refuse. His new mission takes him to a place where he will be reuniting with family. Event planning, card games, singing, fishing, lobstering, woodworking, love and laughter are guaranteed.

Pip was the son of Albert Adams and Hazel Morgan-Hanchett Adams. He was born in 1941, grew up in Milford, New Hampshire and was a graduate of Milford High School in 1959.

From a young age he was fully involved in the Boy Scouts of America Troop 4 Milford NH, attained Eagle Scout and attended several Jamborees.

He always enjoyed organizing events. Every Thanksgiving morning he organized Hare and Hound races for Milford children. In high school, Pip was a member of the Milford Spartan Drum and Bugle Core and played the trumpet. This Core later became Nashua Drum and Bugle. He worked at Milford Cabinet Press, helping to create the local weekly newspaper. This is where he lost his finger. He later worked as a Manager at The Paper Center in Manchester NH.

Pip served in the National Guard for several years and was deployed once.

He was a volunteer fireman with the Milford Fire Department and later joined the Manchester Fire Department where he was promoted to Fire Investigator. During this time, he designed a puppet fireman and went to schools teaching fire safety and the “Stop, Drop and Roll” technique to children.

Pip loved to sing and was a member of Souhegan Valley men’s choir and was a devoted member of the First Congregational Church of Manchester Choir and The Voluntaires singing group.

Pip is predeceased by two brothers, Dennis and Paul Adams. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Cecile Richard Adams, her two sons, Charles Farley and girlfriend Angel Richmond and James Farley and wife Wendy, daughter Deborah Farley, grandchildren Meghan Thompson and husband Richard and Cassandra Farley and her fiance’ Hayden Cassidy, brother Herbert Adams and wife Nathalie, sister Betty Adams Creelman and husband Benjamin, nieces and nephews Benjamin Creelman, Elizabeth Creelman Paolla, Marcia Kass and Kenneth Adams and many cousins and friends.

Pip was loved by everyone he met and he loved his life. His faith was strong and God was always with him and he is blessed to be with God.

Services: A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, April 11th at 11:00 at the First Congregational Church, 508 Union Street, Manchester, NH.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pip’s memory to the First Congregational Church.
