HAROLD M. BROWN
BETHLEHEM, NH Harold M. Brown, age 85, passed away on June 8, 2005 at the Littleton Regional Hospital.
Harold was born a son to Charles and Jessie (Moore) Brown on April 2, 1920 in Littleton, NH. He graduated from Bethlehem High School in 1938 and resided in Bethlehem his entire life.
Harold was employed by the Churchills Dairy and also for Churchill and Brown, which he later owned and operated for many years. He was happiest when working on his bulldozer. Harold was a member of the Maplewood Lodge #100, I.O.O.F. for 65 years as well as a member of the Durrell Methodist Church in Bethlehem. Harold served as a Precinct Commissioner, a U.S. Forest Fire Warden, a Special Officer for the Police Department, and was an engineer with the Bethlehem Fire Department for many years.
Surviving family members include his wife of 64 years, Muriel C. Brown; two daughters, Carol Boucher and husband, Bruce, and Clare Brown and husband, Bruce, all of Bethlehem, NH; grandchildren and great-grandchildren include Lauren Corliss, husband, Mark, and son, Caleb, of Marion, MA; Ellen OMalley of Madison, GA; Karen Abraham, husband Michael, and daughters, Emma and Grace of Tuftonboro, NH; Derek Brown, wife Tandy, and children, Brady, Calyn and Logan of Bethlehem, NH; one sister, Charlotte Taylor of Exeter, NH; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Meg, in 1971 and a brother, Douglas Brown in 1989.
SERVICES A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, June 12, 2005 at the Durrell Methodist Church in Bethlehem, NH at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Richard Hanson officiating. Burial will be in the Maple Street Cemetery.
