Harold L. Fisher Sr, 82 passed away peacefully on January 13th, 2019 at the Country Center Nursing Home in Newburyport, MA. Born on July 6th, 1936 to Harold and Mary (Lord) Fisher in Cambridge MA, Harold would later marry the love of his life, Phyllis (Lambias) Fisher, with whom he shared 60 years of loving marriage.
Harold graduated from the Woburn High School class of 1954, and would later graduate from Wentworth Technical College in Boston, eventually finding employment as an Equipment Operator for Covanta. Harold would enjoy a long tenure of 25+ years of work at Covanta, where he operated heavy machinery and developed many friendships and colleagueship's along the way.
Known as a jack of all trades, Harold was referred to as someone who would always get things done the right way. With a 'measure twice cut once' mentality, he could always be counted on by friends, family and community to fix and build things the way they were supposed to be. Harold took great pride in sharing his passion and knowledge with his 4 children, all of whom can claim Harold's standard of handiness and respect for an honest day's work.
Harold will be remembered as a strong willed yet easy going man who was never known to give up. Having beaten cancer multiple times, Harold's will and determination is an inspiration to us all. Harold loved stock car racing, including his own car 'Born-Free', golfing with his children, and above all spending time with his beloved family. He will be greatly missed at his family's yearly vacation to the White Mountains, and all other family gatherings.
Harold joins his loving wife Phyllis in heaven. He is survived by his 4 children; Son Harold L. Fisher Jr. and wife Marie, Son James Fisher, Daughter Michelle Fisher, Daughter Dawn Marie Fisher; Brother in law Charles E.
