HAROLD H. HAYWOOD, JR
Lisbon, NH Harold H. Haywood, Jr., 83, died Saturday morning February 20, 2010 at his home.
Harold was the son of the late Harold H. Sr. and Mary G. (Graumueller) Haywood in Gardner, MA on November 9, 1926.
Harold served during WWII and the Korean War with the U.S. Army. He was an English teacher in Berlin and Lisbon for 45 years and an organist for St. Catherines Church in Lisbon where he was also a member. Harold was a proud member, former director and prior board member of the Upstage Players in Lisbon. Harold was fondly remembered as a learned flower gardener which he enjoyed during his summers away from school.
He was a wonderful father, grandfather and husband by his surviving wife of 55 years, Jean Haywood of Lisbon, son David Haywood, of Littleton, daughters, Mary, of Fredricksburg, VA, Susan, also of Fredricksburg, and Amy, of Berkely, CA, sister, Alice Fanning of Worcester, MA, 3 grandchildren, and a host of friends and extended family.
Services will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Catherines Church of Lisbon.
