Mrs. Harriet (Chaousis) Pappas, 83, of Manchester, NH died Thursday September 14, 2006 at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester. Born on June 1, 1923 in Marlborough, MA the daughter of the late Costas and Helen (Korkoulis) Chaousis. She was raised and educated in Marlborough. Mrs. Pappas was a longtime resident of Manchester. For many years she had worked at Pandora. Just before she retired, she worked in the bakery at Alexanders for three years. Mrs. Pappas enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and cooking. She enjoyed a simple life style filled with family. She is survived by her 3 sons, Evan Papajohn of Manchester, William Papajohn of Manchester and Anthony Pappas of Manchester; 6 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter; brother, Chris Chaousis of Marlborough, MA; 2 sisters, Catherine Vangil of Southbridge, MA and Henriette Clement of Marlborough, MA and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Charles Pappas. There are no calling hours. Her funeral Service will be held at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church on Monday at 10:00AM. Everyone may meet at church. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 111 Island Pond Rd, Manchester, NH 03109.
