Harry Bergin passed away at the Veteran’s Hospital in White River Jct,  Vt. on September 28, 2023, following a lengthy illness. His brother, Robert, wife Jean, and long time companion, Dorothy Mardin were at his side at the time of his passing.

Harry was born on November 20, 1945, in Littleton, NH to  Carl and Edith Bergin of Littleton, NH. He was the youngest of 5 siblings, Norma, Andrew, Barbara, and Robert. He spent his childhood in Lisbon, NH and Whitefield, NH, graduating from Whitefield High School in 1963.


Following graduation, Harry was drafted into the Army, serving his country in Viet Nam. This past year Harry was presented with a Quilt of Valor for his service in the Army and to his country.


Upon discharge from the Army, Harry worked locally at the Whitefield Public Works, the Wire
Mill in Lisbon NH, Henschel Shoe in Littleton, NH, and lastly at Bond Auto in Littleton, NH where he retired from.  

Harry was predeceased by his parents, Edith and Carl Bergin,  sister, Norma, brother Andrew, and step-daughter, Lisa. He is survived by his sister Barbara of Lisbon NH, brother, Robert (Jean) of Whitefield, NH, stepdaughter, Annette King of Lancaster, NH, stepson, Glen Bergin of Lisbon, NH, and many nieces and nephews.


For anyone who knew Harry they will remember him, as a soft-spoken, gentle and kind person. It was important to Harry to be remembered once he passed. So in honor of Harry take a moment to remember him!

A graveside service with military honors will be held at the Grove Hill Cemetery in Lisbon, NH on Saturday, October 7th beginning at 2pm.
