Harry E.
Drury
Dec 13, 1933 — Sep 25, 2026
Templeton, MA
Harry E. Drury, 92, died on September 25, 2026, in Littleton, New Hampshire. He was born on December 13, 1933, in Gardner, Massachusetts, and spent the majority of his life in Templeton, Massachusetts.
Harry lived a hardworking and generous life. He proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War as a medic. In his working years, he spent many years as a trash truck driver, working alongside his children in a business built around family and effort. He owned a one-truck business and loved working with his kids. He also served the state of Massachusetts state hospitals for decades as an LPN.
Outside of work, Harry loved time with his family. He was known for taking his children on Sunday adventures, creating memories through simple outings and time together. He also loved traveling and camping. Those who knew him remember a man who was generous and determined, someone who worked hard so he could have something nice. He was once described as being like a Norman Rockwell painting, a reflection of the warmth, character, and familiar goodness he brought to the lives around him.
Harry was preceded in death by his son, Mitchell Drury; his daughter, Tracy Drury; and his brothers, William Drury and Richard Drury.
He is survived by his sons, Scott Drury and Brian Drury; his daughter, Tanya Pickard Drury; and his brother, Howard Drury, 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. May his memory bring comfort to those who loved him and who shared in the many adventures, long days of work, and family moments that shaped his life.
A cemetery committal service for Harry will take place on Saturday, October 10 at 2:30 PM at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Templeton, MA.
