Heidi Elizabeth Henry, 57, of Manchester, NH died peacefully at home from natural causes on Saturday, April 24, 2021. She passed peacefully surrounded by loving family.
Born and raised in Manchester, NH to Donald and Pauline Henry, she attended Ash Street School, making many friends along the way. Heidi lived a healthy, happy life, despite the challenges of Down Syndrome. She beat all odds surpassing many milestones, and faced all obstacles with good nature and a smile. She enjoyed multiple activities including motorcycle rides, music, boat rides and coloring. She made friends of total strangers charming them with her enthusiastic hellos and happy disposition. She passed wearing all her favorite jewelry, (those who know her will understand how important this was to her).
Heidi is survived by siblings, Dona Varnavas and family of Beverly, MA; her brother, Vernon, sister Robyn and her partner Brian, sister, Brenda and husband Jason, nephews Gavriel and Keller, and long-time family friend Kay Bayko. Kay never forgot Heidi on her birthday or at Christmas. The family would also like to thank her nurses, Alexia, Collette and Mark who showed Heidi true compassion and care in her final weeks.
Heidi will be laid to rest with her parents and grandparents at Pine Grove Cemetery, Manchester, NH.
SERVICES: A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, May 3, from 2:00 â 4:00 PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, in Manchester. Those in attendance are respectfully requested to wear face coverings and practice social distancing. Interment will take place at a later date at Pine Grove Cemetery, in Manchester, NH.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Heidi's name to the Easter Seals Center of Manchester, NH.
