Mrs. Helen E. (Place) Badger, 79, of Allenstown, NH died February 14, 2007 at her home in Allenstown, NH.
Born on April 4, 1927 in Springfield, MA the daughter of George Place of New Bedford, MA and Ora (Langlois) Place of Newport VT.
Helen grew up in Fall River and Acushnet area of Massachusetts and moved to Waltham and raised a family. She traveled extensively throughout the United States and settled in Allenstown, NH, where she lived for over twenty-five years.
For many years Helen was a nurse’s aide at Waltham Hospital, Waltham, Mass and TB Hospital, Trapelo Rd, Waltham, Mass.
Helen is survived by her two sons, Walter F. Alterisio of Dunstable, Mass and Wayne G. Alterisio of Manchester, NH as well as five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Her memorial gathering will be held on Thursday from 6-8PM at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 250 Coolidge Ave, Manchester, NH. Given her love of nature and animals and especially birds, charitable donations to the Audubon Society are requested in lieu of flowers.
