Helen M. Beaudin

October 4, 1931 — February 26, 2024

Manchester, NH

Helen Marie (Chenelle) Beaudin, 92, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 26, 2024 after a brief illness at St. Teresa Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Manchester, NH. Her four children and daughter-in-law were by her side at the time. She was born on October 4, 1931 in Manchester, NH and was the daughter of Ypolite and Delia (Boudreau) Chenelle. She lived most of her life in the Manchester and Bedford area.

In 1949, Helen married Alfred R. Beaudin (deceased) and together they had four children which included a set of twins. Her children were her pride and joy. While raising children, Helen was able to earn her GED in 1979. After 32 years of marriage she was divorced in 1982. Helen never remarried. Her places of employment included Pandora Mill, J & R Langley Co., and Burlington Coat Factory.

Throughout her life Helen had a strong faith in Jesus. She taught herself many skills such as how to crotchet, knit, and play the organ. She also enjoyed making puzzles, animals, ballroom dancing, and The Lawrence Welk Show. Helen made the best braided breads, soups, pies, and chocolate chip cookies; but she never quite mastered the art of making a grilled cheese without burning it.

Helen always said if she won the lottery, she would not move. She undoubtedly would give all the money away. She did not care about travel or material possessions, as long as she had her chocolates and her occasional plate of Shrimp Lo Mein, she was good. Helen was born with the gift of contentment; never restless always content. What brought Helen the most happiness was her family. Whether it be a cookout, a birthday celebration, a visit, or just a phone call; this was the lottery for her.

Helen is survived by her sister Gail Simard (Andy) and her 4 children: Raymond P. Beaudin, Sandra A. Carpentier (Brian), John R. Beaudin and Joseph C. Beaudin (Shauna); 5 grandchildren: Nathan Beaudin (Deirdre), Michelle Green (Chris), Ashley Liadis (Keith), Lauren Beaudin, and Jacob Beaudin; 6 great grandchildren: Alivia Hendersen, Ella Liadis, Cooper Liadis, Colin Beaudin, Eva Green, and Ian Green.

Besides her parents, she is predeceased by 3 sisters: Ruby Olivier, Louise Rousseau, and Solange Isabelle.

Her family would like to extend their deepest gratitude and appreciation to the staff at St. Teresa Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for all the love and care they have given Helen over the last five years. Your staff enabled Helen to flourish into a social butterfly and she created many friendships during her time there. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

We are so blessed to have walked in her light. She will be missed beyond words and thought of often with love. Till we meet again.

The family will gather for Helen’s burial services at Mount Calvary Cemetery in a private ceremony.
