Helen B. Bennett

September 21, 1940 — March 31, 2024

Bedford

Helen B. Bennett, 83, of Bedford, passed away on March 31, 2024 with her family by her side.

She was born on September 21, 1940 in Halifax, Nova Scotia to the late Emmanuel and Georgina (King) Anderson. One of 14 siblings, she grew up in Canada until moving to New Hampshire to start a life of her own. She met and settled down with her previous spouse, and together they raised three children.

A devoted Nana, homemaker, and caregiver, Helen found the most joy in spending time with her grandchildren. She loved to go on vacations, was always up for bowling or getting her nails done, and found solace in a game of Solitaire. Her giving spirit extended beyond the walls of her home as she also worked part time in daycares and respite homes up until the very end of her life. Helen's love will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and warmth.

Helen is survived by her children, Deborah Carignan of Nashua, Denise Bennett of Manchester, and Dennis Bennett and his fiancé Christine Groleau of Bedford; her beloved grandchildren, Renee, Hannah and her partner Nick, Dylan, and Trevor. She is predeceased by her parents.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, April 13th from 5-7pm at The Phaneuf Funeral Home & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester. A few words of remembrance will be shared at 6:30pm. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment will be private.
