Helen L. Boivin, 84, of Largo, FL died peacefully at Suncoast Hospice Care Center on February 4, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Worcester, MA on November 12, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Loretta (Fortin) Lavoie.  Helen was a graduate of Holy Name High School in Worcester, MA.  She was very organized and always had to reconcile her bank account to the penny each month. She worked as the Office Manager for TASC in Worcester for 23 years.  She was also involved in many activities at Shoreline Palms Mobile Home Park, Largo, FL.  Helen also enjoyed reading in her spare time and her return each summer to see friends at Tidewater Campground in Hampton, NH.

Helen is survived by her husband of 63 years, Richard H. Boivin, her son Steven Boivin and his wife Robin (Lusardi) Boivin of Bedford, NH, her granddaughter Ashley Boivin and her grandson Zachary Boivin. She is also survived by her brother Louis Lavoie and wife Marie Edna of Leominster, MA, her brother Alvin Lavoie and wife Cecile of Westborough, MA, her in-laws Dr. Francis Sacco and wife Jeannine of Santa Cruz CA, along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister-in-law Georgette Ghiz.

The Boivin family would especially like to thank Dr. Jooma and the staff at Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute of Largo, FL. The family would also like to thank the staff at Suncoast Hospice Care Center of Pinellas Park, FL, who provided outstanding comfort and support to our family in her final days.

A memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of Mercy, Merrimack New Hampshire on June 10th at 10am. Committal services will take place on June 11th at 11 AM in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org. Arrangements are by Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Manchester, NH.
