HELEN VIRGINIA BURGESS
LITTLETON, NH Helen V. Burgess, 65, passed away at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center on July 18, 2004.
Helen was born a daughter to James and Pauline (Flye) Pottle on May 12, 1939 in Palermo, Maine. She attended Bessie High School in Albion, Maine.
Helen married Claude Satch Burgess on April 7, 1956 and moved to Littleton, NH. Helen was employed by the Littleton High School as a cook for eight years as well as Burndy for twenty-five years. She enjoyed gardening, walking and digging clams while at the ocean. Helen was well known for her cooking.
Surviving family members include four daughters, Claudett and Tim Mills of Monroe, NH; Camy and Roger Bishop of Littleton, NH; Cathy and Dean Trombley of Bethlehem, NH; and Cindy Burgess and Roy Hazlett; one brother, Lloyd and Judy Pottle of Ormond Beach, FL; one sister, Dorothy and Larry Pooler of Greenville, Maine; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. One brother, Raymond Pottle predeceased her.
SERVICES The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, July 21st, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Pillsbury Funeral Home, 101 Union Street, Littleton, NH. A Graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 22nd at 10:00 a.m. in the Glenwood Cemetery with Rev. Thomas Golden.
