Helen Martha (Lambert) Hebert, 84, of Manchester, passed away on August 5, 2010 at Ridgewood Center in Bedford. She was born in Manchester on November 23, 1925, the daughter of George and Martha (Messier) Lambert and was a resident of the City for most of her life. She was a graduate of Pinkerton Academy and then attended Concord Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1947. She worked as a registered nurse at CMC and then Elliot Hospital, where she retired after over forty years of service. After her retirement, she volunteered with the Red Cross. She was a parishioner of Blessed Sacrament Church. She was the widow of Louis E. J. Hebert who died in 1999. She was also predeceased by a daughter, Lori Joly who died in 2001 and by a son, Robert Hebert in 1951. In Her Life: She and her husband of 50 years loved to travel and they visited many places including Hawaii and Spain. They both enjoyed hosting many large summertime backyard barbeques and pool parties at their home with family and friends. Family members include two sons, Dennis P. Hebert and his wife Susanne of Hooksett and Richard A. Hebert and his wife Susan of Manchester; a daughter, Karen Chaloge of Manchester; six grandchildren, Mathiew, Amy, Sara, Nicholas, Kayla and Olivia; five great grandchildren, Brenden, Trever, Elizabeth, Camden and Hayden; two sisters, Lorette Cousins of NC and Evelyn Cote of VA; as well as nephews, nieces and cousins. Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street on Sunday from 4 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday morning at 10:00 AM in Blessed Sacrament Church. Committal services will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Londonderry. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2 Commerce Drive, Unit 110, Bedford, NH 03110.
