Helen Virginia Kalin

vHelen Virginia (Pauling) Kalin, 93, formerly of 15 Northbrook Drive, Manchester, died March 31, 2002, at Trinitas Hospital, Elizabeth, New Jersey. She was born February 25, 1909, in New York City, New York, the daughter of the late John William and Gertrude Blanche (Little) Pauling and lived most of her life in New Jersey. She resided 14 years in Manchester and moved to Cranford,New Jersey in 1999 where she stayed at the Cranford Health & Extended Care. She was the widow of Nicholas J. Kalin who died in 1986. Helen worked for E. P. Dutton Company. Family members include two daughters, Helen (Kalin) VanRossum of Manchester and Mrs. John (Janet) McDougall of Cranford, New Jersey, five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. William (Ann) Peter of Newton, New Jersey, several nieces and nephews. SERVICES: Calling hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday morning at 10 o'clock in Sacred Heart Church. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
