Helen E (Economos) Kounelas, 89, formerly of 446 Hanover St., died September 28, 2004 at Hillsborough County Nursing Home after a brief illness. She was born in Saco, Maine on June 18 , 1915, the daughter of Thomas and Rose(Goulis) Economos.Prior to retirement she worked at Struthers-Dunn Electronic Company.She was a member of AARP, Noa Auxiliary , Daughters of Penelope , Anagenessis Society and the Salvation Army. Family members included one son, Thomas Kounelas of Amherst, NH ; one brother Stephen Economos of Saco, Maine and several nephews and nieces. Helen was predeceased by her husband Nicholas Kounelas who died in 1971 and her son Theodore Kounelas who died in 2002. SERVICES: Calling hours will be at the Phaneuf Funeral Home and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester, NH on Thursday from 7-9 PM with a Trisagion service at 7 PM with the Reverend Father Peter Kyroakos officiating. Funeral services will be at the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church on Friday morning at 10 O'Clock with the Reverend Father Peter Kyroakos, officiating.
