Helen B. (Naylon) Shaw, 86, of Manchester, passed away on April 2, 2014, at Maple Leaf Health Care Center, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Woodsville, NH, she was the daughter of the late Leslie and Beatrice (Head) Naylon.

A dedicated wife and mother, Helen delighted in all the accomplishments of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. After raising a family, Helen had been employed by Sears and Roebuck and Hamel Auto Body. She was a longtime member of the Manchester Junior Women's Club. Following retirement, Helen and her husband, Bruce W. Shaw, enjoyed their golden years in Port Charlotte Village, FL. Helen was an active tap dancer, performing in productions in at the Port Charlotte Cultural Center and even teaching tap lessons well into her 80's. A beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, she will be deeply missed.

Helen is survived by her son, Jeffrey Shaw and wife, Nancy of Pittsfield; her daughter, Leslie Christie of Manchester; four grandchildren, Christopher Duquette of Epsom, James Christie of Barnstead, Rebecca Wead of Pittsfield, Kristen Shaw of Hudson; six great grandchildren, Terrence Shaw of Manchester, Charles McGuire of Pittsfield, Miles Cote of Pittsfield, Rylan LaPlante of Hudson, Gwenievere Christie, and Victoria Christie; several nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Bruce W. Shaw, with whom she shared 65 joyful years of marriage.

ARRANGEMENTS: A Memorial Service will be held in the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St., Manchester, on Saturday, April 19, 2014, at 10:30A.M. Burial in Bedford Center Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Helen's memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
