Helen D. Stickney, 85, of Boscawen passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 7, 2016.
Helen was born in Concord, NH September 28, 1931 to Cleveland and Delia (Wilkins) Sargent. A lifelong resident of the Concord area, Helen graduated from Concord High and worked as an underwriter at Concord Group. Helen most recently worked in food service at Rundlett Junior High until she retired in the early 80s.
Helen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her loss will be felt deeply by all whose lives she touched.
Helen is survived by her husband, Donald E. Stickney, Sr. with whom she would have celebrated 64 years of marriage on August 9th; her son, Donald E. Stickney, Jr. of Boscawen and partner Nancy Fortier of Concord; daughter Deborah Blomquist and husband David of Franklin; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Helen was predeceased by her sister, Doris Pratt.
The family will receive visitors Thursday, August 11th 9:00-10:00am at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 172 King Street in Boscawen. Funeral service will be held at 10:00am in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow immediately at Blossom Hill Cemetery, 207 N. State Street in Concord. In lieu of flowers donations in Helen's memory may be made to the Merrimack County Nursing Home Hospice Unit at the Edna McKenna Fund, 325 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH 03303.
