Helena "Honey" D. (Mitrano) Cascio, 69, of 127 Green Road, Raymond, passed away on March 26, 2009 at the Hospice House in Concord. In Her Life: She was born in Somerville, MA on January 17, 1940, the daughter of the late Charles and Helen (Martelli) Mitrano. She was a graduate of Somerville High School. She married in 1959 and in 1963 she moved to Derry with her husband and family. In 1967, she moved to Raymond where her family settled. She taught ballroom dancing at a very young age. Later she worked at Raymond High School for nearly thirty years and was the founding president of the Raymond Educational Support Staff. She loved playing bingo, going to flea markets and yard sales, reading novels, on-line gaming and playing cards. In her earlier years, she enjoyed bowling. She also loved spending time with her family and friends and loved her pets. She was a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Litchfield. She was the widow of Lionell A. "Butch" Cascio who died in 2002. She was also predeceased by a sister, Charlene Buttery Family members include her son, Kim Cascio of Sherman Oaks, CA; two daughters, Lynn Paquette and her husband Barry of Allenstown, and Denise Cascio Bolduc and her husband Dan of Hooksett; two grandchildren whom she was "Nannie" to, Chrystine Paquette and Jenna Bolduc; her fiancé, Ronald Rodier of Litchfield; a sister, Dorothy Ventura of Tyngsboro, MA; step-siblings, and nephews, nieces and cousins. Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street on Friday April 3rd from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 10:00 AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church. Committal services will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Raymond.
