Helene Noella Dezainde

Helene Noella Dezainde, 83, of Manchester, NH, passed away on May 19, 2024 at St. Teresa Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Born in Coaticook, Quebec, Canada on December 25, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Robert Pelletier and Eva Brouillard. She shared nearly 40 years of companionship with her husband, Jean Claude Dezainde.

Helene was raised in Sherbrooke, Quebec, and moved to Manchester, NH when she was 18. She held many jobs over the years, including as a weaver in the Manchester mills, installing drywall and sheetrock for 10 years, as well as a school bus driver, and most recently as a parking clerk at the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport. She loved to sew her own clothing and to make and wear her own jewelry. Some of her favorite activities were playing cards and dancing, especially line dancing. She also knitted countless sets of hats, mittens, and scarves over the years to donate to the homeless and the Boys & Girls Club, recently receiving an award for her contributions from the Daughters of Isabella organization.

Helene is survived by her husband, Jean Claude Dezainde of Manchester, NH; her children, Nancy Marois of Sherbrooke, QC, Andre Marois and his wife Carol of Goffstown, NH and Lena Dionne and her fiancé Kevin Quinn of Manchester, NH; her brothers, JeanPaul Brouillard and his wife Robin Sousa of Manchester, NH, Marcel Pelletier and his wife Sue of Francestown, NH, Real Pelletier and his wife Nita of Manchester, NH, Denis Pelletier and his wife Sheila of Manchester, NH, and Guy Pelletier of Manchester, NH; her sisters, Aline Pelletier of Sherbrooke, QC, and Jacqueline Pelletier of Montreal, QC; her grandchildren, Travis Dionne, Kaytlin Dionne, Luke Marois, Miranda Grillo and Julie Marois; as well as eight great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Gisele Valance, and her sister-in-law, Rejeanne Pelletier.

A Celebration of Helene’s Life will be held at Yankee Lanes, 216 Maple St, Manchester, NH on June 8, 2024 from 12PM until 4PM in a private hall.
