Henry J. Cook, 81, of Bedford died December 22, 2012 at Ridgewood Center with his wife, Janice by his side.
He was born on March 13, 1931 in Hanover, NH the son of Fred and Wilma (Stanley) Cook. He was raised and educated in Hanover, graduating from Hanover High School. He received his bachelor's degree from Syracuse University.
Henry served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He was stationed in Germany and received the Occupation, Good Conduct and Nation Defense Service Medals.
Henry worked for 30 years in engineering management for various computer and medical device companies. After retiring he went into the real estate business selling property in the Manchester area.
He enjoyed playing golf, reading and vacationing in the Caribbean with his wife and their good friends Jim and Pat Campbell. He loved spending time with family and friends especially with his son, Jeff.
Surviving family members include his wife of 34 years, Janice (Guyette) Cook of Bedford; son, Jeffrey Sargent of Ascutney, VT; 2 grandchildren, Jessica Brown and Timmy Sargent both of Ascutney, VT; 2 great grandchildren, Abigail and Benjamin Brown, his siblings, Sam Cook of New Ipswich, NH, Irena Pariala of New Ipswich, NH, David Cook of Canaan, NH, Bill Cook of Norwich, VT and Lois Hutchin of Lyme, NH and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Chester Cook.
His Memorial Service will be held at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St, Manchester on Saturday, Dec. 29th at 2:00PM. Burial will be at Ascutneyville Cemetery, Ascutney, VT at a later date. Donations in his memory can be made to American Heart Association, 2 Wall St., Manchester, NH 03101.
