Henry Lawrence III of Somers, Connecticut, and Barefoot Bay, Florida, passed away peacefully at Hartford Hospital, after the onset of of a massive brain bleed. He grew up in Farmington, New Hampshire, and then attended St. Anslem College in Manchester, New Hampshire.
Henry was a member of Temple Israel in Manchester, New Hampshire, and Kodimoh Synagogue in Springfield, Massachusetts.
His life career was in the restaurant industry, owning a chain of Bonanza restaurants in Massachusetts, and as General Manager for CIAO restaurant in Chicago, Illinois.
Henry’s heart and home were open to all, and lived his life giving to others. He was known for this generosity and support for causes dear to his heart. One of his greatest achievements was having created coins to hand out to those who went above and beyond, and paid it forward. He was also known for his quick wit, and sense of humor.
Henry’s most cherished times were those celebrated with his family, and spending time playing creatively with his precious great-granddaughter, Khloee. She gave him purpose, and motivation for survival after his beloved wife’s passing.
He was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Marion Lawrence, and his treasured wife Inas. He leaves behind his adoring daughter Cheryl Robinovitz and son in law Bruce, whom he loved as his son, cherished granddaughter, Melissa Lawrence, whom he valued beyond, and his “best buddy” great-granddaughter, Khloee Lawrence.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St., Manchester, New Hampshire, with burial services immediately following at the Manchester Hebrew Cemetery, Manchester, New Hampshire. A celebration of Life will be held in Connecticut at a yet to be determined date and time.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to JGS Life Care Enrichment Department, 770 Converse St. Longmeadow, Massachusetts, 01106, or any other charity or organization that will directly assist those in need.
