Henry A. Pratte Jr., 91, of Manchester, NH, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on February 18, 2019. Born in Manchester on September 9, 1927, he was son of the late Henry and Grace (Hebert) Pratte. He enjoyed 47 years of marriage with his wife, Judith (Clement) Pratte.
Henry was a lifelong resident of Manchester. In his younger years, he worked at family-owned Pratte Market. Most of his career was spent as the New England Regional Sales Manager for Cott Beverages. He later was an operations manager for Kmart in Hooksett, NH. During his retirement years, he worked as a driver associate for Merchant Motors in Hooksett, where he met many close friends. He was a member of the Precious Blood League of 1000 Men organization.
A dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Henry's family was paramount in his life. The pillar of strength for his family, Henry took great pride in providing for his wife and children. He will be best remembered for his generous heart and love of family.
He leaves behind his wife, Judith Pratte of Manchester; his son, Todd H. Pratte of Manchester; his daughter, Kim J. Boule and her husband Jeff of Manchester; his son, retired Lt. Col. Kevin K. Pratte and his wife Deborah of Navarre, FL; his daughter, Cindy Rousseau of Manchester; his sister, Doris Body of Manchester; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Irene Baker.
Services will be Saturday, February 23 at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, with a memorial gathering from 10-11:30am and memorial service at 11:30am. Henry will be laid to rest at Pine Grove Cemetery, Manchester.
