Herbert C. Chris Anderson, 61, of Goffstown, passed away in Bedford on December 17, 2004. He was born in Charlotteville, NY on April 25, 1943, the son of the late Herbert and Evelyn (Bent MacGregor)Anderson and had been a Goffstown area resident for the past 25 years. He was a 20 year veteran of the Navy, having served in Vietnam. He had received numerous medals and citations during his military career and retired as a Master Chief. After his retirement from the Navy, he owned and operated H. C. Anderson Remodeling for the past 25 years. He was an active member of the First Assembly of God Church, having served as a church trustee, on the building committee and with the food ministry. He was also involved in home bible study and loved to serve the Lord. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed camping and spent many summers camping with his family and friends in Newfoundland, Canada. Family members include his wife of 14 years, Gloria (Zeigenfuse) Anderson; a son, Matthew Anderson Fairfax, VA; a daughter, Karen Olivier of Franklin; two step sons, David Hurst of Manchester and William Hurst of North Berwick, ME; six grandchildren; a sister, Marjorie Havens of Wells, ME and several nephews, nieces and cousins. In His Life: He loved and was very proud of his six grandchildren, Mariah Olivier, Lauren Olivier, Hanna Olivier, Noah Olivier, Oriana Anderson and Emerie Anderson. He was predeceased by a grandson, Sam Matthew Oliver who died in 2001. A calling hour will take place on Wednesday morning from 10 to 11 AM in the First Assembly of God Church, 227 Londonderry Turnpike, Manchester. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 with Pastor Gary Hamilton officiating. Burial with military honors will take place at 1:00 PM in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen.
