Herman “Bill” Dees, 79, of Allenstown, NH, passed away on March 8th, 2023 after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s diseases. He was born on June 17, 1943 to the late Herman & Jossie (Taylor) Dees.
Bill, a proud veteran and devoted husband, leaves behind a legacy of courage, love, and devotion. Bill served his country for over 25 years, including three tours in Vietnam, where he displayed his bravery and dedication to his country. He was awarded numerous commendations for his service, and was always proud of his service to both God and country.
Bill was not only a dedicated soldier, but he was also a loving husband to his best friend and soulmate Diane for over 35 years. They had a beautiful marriage built on trust, love, and mutual respect. Bill cherished his time with Diane and their love was an inspiration to many. In addition to his dedication to his country and his wife, Bill had a passion for the outdoors. He loved camping, fishing, hunting, and spending time in nature. He was at his happiest when he was surrounded by the beauty of the world, the majesty of God's creations, and the people he loved most.
Bill's faith in God was unshakable, and he was an active member of his church. He drew strength and inspiration from his faith, and it guided him throughout his life. His faith was evident in his actions, and he was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.
Bill will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of selflessness, dedication, and love. His courage, compassion, and kindness will live on through the countless lives he touched.
Bill is predeceased by his brother Lonzo S. Dees; sister Shirley (Dees) Peterson; sister Betty (Dees) King; sister Christina Dees & brother Donnie Dees.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife Diane (Gagne) Dees; son Jerry Lunderville II and his wife Kayla; Son John Lunderville and his wife Amanda; Son Herman F Dees; Son Michael R Dees; Daughter Kay Dees; Grandchildren Isaiah and Lily Lunderville; sister Jean (Dees) Miller; brother Flonnie Dees; Special Friend Ursela Nedeau (Baby Bear) as well as extended family, an extensive church family and many friends.
Services for Bill will take place on Friday, March 17th 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM at the Ark Church, 811 Canal Street Manchester, NH 03101 followed by Military Honors at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Hwy, Boscawen, NH.
