Hervey Joseph Leclerc, 82, of Londonderry, died on Saturday, May 1, 2004 at the V.A. Hospital after a brief illness. Mr. Leclerc was born on October 5, 1921 in Manchester, NH the son of the late Albert and Aurore (Boisvert) Leclerc. Mr. Leclerc was owner of Leclerc Tire Shop in Londonderry, NH, and was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II and Korean War. He was also involved in seven foreign battles: Tunisia, Sicily, Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes, and Central Europe. He received the Bronze Star and Good Conduct metals. Mr. Leclerc was a parishioner of St. Jude Church in Londonderry, he was an avid wrestling, Red Sox, and Patriots fan. Family members include his wife of 53 years, Rita (Champagne) Leclerc of Londonderry; Three sons, Albert and Donald Leclerc both of Manchester and Roger Leclerc of Litchfield; two daughters, Laurette Hebert of Londonderry and Pualine Robbins of Concord; eleven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, many nephews, nieces, and cousins; one brother, Arthur Leclerc of Allenstown; three sisters, Beatrice Leavitt of Claremont, Rita Marchand of Hudson, and Lillian Leclerc of Manchester. Calling hours will be at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street Manchester, NH on Tuesday from 2 to 4pm and from 7 to 9pm. A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 11am in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at the N.H. State Veteran Cemetery, in Boscawen, NH.
