Hugo C. Gonzalez

Hugo C. Gonzalez, Sr., 75, of Manchester, died June 20, 2008 at Catholic Medical Center. He was born in Uruguay on June 8, 1933 and had been a Manchester resident for over forty years. He had worked for General Electric for more than twenty five years until his retirement. He loved to travel, especially back to Uruguay to visit family and friends. He most enjoyed spending time with his family. Family members include his son, Hugo C. Gonzalez, Jr., of Manchester; a daughter, Monica Stevenson of Wahiawa, HI; one granddaughter; one brother, Wilder Gonzalez; five sisters, Leila Barreiro, Norma Fenanoez, Romanilda Arroyo, Natividad Ribeiro and Estela Flores, his long time companion, Iris Marino, and many nephews, nieces and cousins. A memorial gathering will take place on Monday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street. For more information, go to www.phaneuf.net.
