Hyun W. Song

Hyun W. Song, 18, of 6 McKinley Street, Concord, died March 16, 2005 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA. He was born in Seoul, Korea on March 19, 1986, the son of Kwang and Young (Jung) Song. Hyun was a 2004 graduate of Concord High School. He currently was a freshman at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Science. He was an excellent chess player and enjoyed poker. He was a member of the New Hampshire Korean Presbyterian Church and was the first student to graduate from the New Hampshire Korean School. He always has a smile on his face and had many friends. Throughout his life and his illness, he overcame much adversity and was a “born fighter”. Family members include his parents of Concord; a brother, Jin Song of Concord; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street on Saturday from 3:00 to 4:30 PM. Funeral services will follow at the New Hampshire Korean Church located across the street from the funeral home in the chapel of the First Congregational Church.
