Irena P. Beane

Irena Pirok Beane, 84, of Bedford NH, passed away on January 6th, 2021 after a brief illness. She was born on June 18, 1936 to the late Wladyslaw & Pelagia (Legenc) Hunko in Chyrzyna, Poland and would later emigrate to New Hampshire in 1963.

Having grown up in Poland, Irena had deep Polish roots for her entire life, as she still has relatives there today. She would later create her own family and community in Manchester, NH, and enjoyed over 40 years of employment at the Elliot Hospital under various roles. Her work at the Elliot was an important and fulfilling part of Irena's life.

Aside from her work, Irena was devoted to both her faith and her family throughout her life. She will be remembered as a generous, loyal, selfless and devout mother, grandmother, wife, sister and friend to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Those who did know her will have fond memories of her elaborate flower garden, as Irena always found peace and joy among her flowers. She also loved singing in the Frederick Chopin Choir of Holy Trinity Cathedral, and is doubtless with God at this very moment. Above all else, Irena loved her family immensely, and will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.

Irena has now joined her first husband Conrad Pirok and 2 brothers-in-law Emil Turczyk & Zbyszek Szmigielski in heaven. She is survived by her second husband Harry Beane; daughter Lisa Farmer and her husband Mark; son Daniel Pirok; stepdaughter Sandra Kenney and her husband David; sister Michalina Turczyk; sister Emilia Szmigielska; brother Aleksander Hunko and his wife Krystyna; sister Zofia Bratton and her husband Mike; grandchildren Nicholas & George Farmer; niece Daniela Cooper and her husband Ken; goddaughter Mariola Boczek; as well as many other extended family members and friends.

A funeral mass will take place at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 11th at Holy Trinity Cathedral at 166 Pearl St. Manchester NH, 03104. She will be laid to rest immediately afterwards.
