IRENE A. BOUCHER MANCHESTER – Irene A. (Gregoire) Boucher, 85, died Palm Sunday, March 28, 2010, at Elliot Hospital, in Manchester, following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Boucher was born on January 3, 1925, in Manchester, NH; the daughter of the late Joseph and Wilhelmine (Brochu) Gregoire. She was a lifelong resident of Manchester. She worked for a time as a practical nurse, in the late 1950’s, at the former Sacred Heart Hospital. Mrs. Boucher enjoyed doing her family geneology, reading Christian books, writing poetry and was so talented in many ways. Members of her family include; her husband of 63 years, Alfred H. Boucher, of Manchester; one son, Ronald Boucher, of Goffstown; one daughter, Elaine Taku, of Hudson, NH; nieces and nephews. IN HER LIFE: In addition, other family members include; her 5 grandchildren, James Boucher, David Taku, Jennifer Boucher, Jonathan Taku, Maria Taku, and 2 great grandchildren, Jack Taku and Kate Taku. She took trips to Israel and France, but her lifelong dream was fulfilled when she walked through “The Holy City of Jerusalem”. Now she walks the streets of Gold in the heavenly Jerusalem. SERVICES: A celebration of her life will be Thursday, April 8, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street, corner of Union Street, in Manchester. A memorial service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 AM. Her son-in-law, The Reverend Fumio Taku, with the Assembly of God, will officiate the service. A private burial will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, in Manchester, at a later date. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 1 Bedford Farms Drive, Suite 105, Bedford, NH 03110, in memory of Mrs. Boucher.
