Irene V. Desruisseaux, born on October 3, 1934, in Manchester, NH, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2026, with her loving family by her side.
Irene was a lifelong resident of Manchester and shared 58 wonderful years of marriage with her late husband Gerard Desruisseaux. She was a graduate of West High School, and remained an active member of her parish at Ste. Marie Church throughout her life, as well as being a member of the Dame De St. Onge for many years.
Irene is survived by her sons, Donald Desruisseaux and his wife Donna, and Gary Desruisseaux and his wife Carlene. She was the loving grandmother to three grandchildren: James Desruisseaux and his wife Nicole, Kristin McMahon and her husband John, and Alyssa Kruger and her husband Sean. Additionally, she was blessed with four great-grandchildren, Dylan, Cameron, Finneghan, and Maeve. Irene is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will miss her deeply.
She was predeceased by her parents, Alfred Halle and Alphonsine (Larochelle) Halle; her brother Michael Halle; her brother Gerard Halle; her sister Theresa Caza; her brother Armand Halle; and her sister Gertrude Melancon.
Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday March 4, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium - 250 Coolidge Ave. in Manchester, NH. A funeral service will follow at Ste. Marie Church at 10:00 AM, with burial taking place at Mount Calvary Cemetery at 11:00 AM.
