Irene M. Egan

Irene M. (Compagna) Egan, 83, of Manchester, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at her home. Irene was born on June 25, 1935, in Manchester, NH, the daughter of the late Joseph and Angeline (Sevigny) Compagna. She was a lifelong resident of Manchester.
She retired from General Motors in 1992 after 32 years of service. She spent her retirement wintering in Cape Coral Florida and enjoying time with her grandchildren and family. She loved gardening, playing dominoes and lunches with her friends. Devoted to her faith, she was a long-time parishioner of St Peters Church. She will be remembered for her smile and her love of life.
Members of her family include; her four sons, Shawn Egan and wife Lisa of Litchfield NH, Brian Egan and wife Sandy of Candia NH, Keith Egan of Manchester, Glenn Egan and wife Lee of Manchester, NH; grandchildren Patrick, Shannon, Kaitlyn and Haley; sister Cecile Sullivan of Bedford, NH and brother Andy Compagna of York, ME and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters, Anita Staples, Estelle Tessier and Aura Walsh, and three brothers, Robert Compagna, Ralph Compagna and Marcel Compagna.
