Irene Alice (Douillette) Garceau left this Earth to be with her beloved husband with her family by her side on August 27. She was born September 15, 1933 in Suncook, NH to David and Ernestine Douillette.
Irene attended school in Pembroke, worked for Concord Finishing and then retiring from Chubb Life.
She married the love of her life, Joseph Alfred Garceau III on September 12, 1957. Together they settled in Concord, raising their children Linda and Steven.
Irene was an avid Bingo player. She enjoyed going to Mohegan Sun. She loved making memories with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Saturday night card games with her mother, husband and children were a must in her younger years. Later it was Yahtzee with the grandkids.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband; brothers David, Billy, Lester and Charlie; sister, Jeanne; and daughter-in-law, Nathalie.
She is survived by her children, Linda and Russell Lampron of Loudon and Steven Garceau of Franklin; brothers, Roger and Eileen Douillette of Pittsfield and Bruce and Loretta Douillette of Concord; grandchildren, Samantha and Richard Anthony of Concord, Sabrina and Joshua Sutherland of Boscawen, Jay and Jen Lampron, Nicole and Tyler Johnson of North Carolina; great grandchildren, Ashley and Joseph Stokes of Concord and unborn "Blueberry" of North Carolina; as well as many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Graveside services with be held at 11am on Saturday, September 14th at Blossom Hill Cemetery, Concord, NH. A celebration of life will take place after at 7064 Pleasant St Ext, Loudon. All are welcome to share memories. Phaneuf Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
