Irene T. LaForce

Irene T. LaForce, 84, of Manchester, passed away peacefully in her home on April 11, 2024. She is the loving wife of the late Edouard G. LaForce who predeceased her in 2008.

Irene was born in Manchester on December, 24, 1939, one of five children, to Joseph and Laurette Blanchette. 

A mother of three boys, Irene briefly worked in the mills and at the post office in her younger years, but ultimately chose her fulfilling role as a homemaker to raise and care for her family. Her loving nature showed beyond the walls of her home, as she always made a lasting impression. She was a genuine and kind person who truly put others before herself. Irene had a green thumb and often was found outside in her garden planting flowers. She was an animal lover of great and small creatures alike, enjoyed watching her animal shows on TV, and even sometimes liked to watch WWF Wrestling. A member of The Parish of The Transfiguration, Irene was a devout Catholic. Her amazing spirit and known charisma will never be forgotten.

Irene is survived by her two sons, Daniel and David LaForce of Manchester; and her sister Pauline Blanchette. She is predeceased by her husband of almost 50 years Edouard, and her son Dennis M. LaForce.

A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, April 25^th from 10-11am at The Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester. A memorial service will follow at 11am in the funeral home. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend. Irene will be interred at a later date with her husband and son at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
