Irene Loukedes

Irene (Venetos) Loukedes, 83, of Manchester, passed away at Courville at Manchester on May 28, 2025, with her loving family by her side.

She was born in Leros, Greece on November 12, 1941, the daughter of the late Dimitris and Maria (Zarafis) Venetos. She was a homemaker for most of her career and also taught Greek School at St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral. She was a wonderful and passionate cook and enjoyed feeding everybody who came over to her home. She enjoyed decorating and making things beautiful for her family and friends. She was the widow of Stephen Loukedes who died in 2014.

Family members include two daughters, Maria Millios and her husband Spiro of Manchester and Audrey Tsai and her husband Wenkai of Bedford; her son Peter Loukedes of Manchester; six grandchildren, Luke, Alek, Irene, Stephanie, George, and Nicholas; a sister, Evdokia Venetos of Greece; and many beloved nephews, nieces, and cousins. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Sophia Tsamouras and a brother, Emmanual Venetos.

Funeral services will be private. Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Manchester, is in charge of arrangements.
